The annual and inaugural on property performance sale will now be held at our "Eight Mile" Sale Complex in Keith S.A.
To get to the new sale venue you need to travel 12km north of Keith on Dark Island Well Road.

Mandayen Dominates Royal Melbourne Show Carcase Competition in 2008 and 2009

Our genetics have dominated the past two carcase competitions at the Royal Melbourne Show, we would like to thank all those involved with the preparation and exhibition of Mandayen genetics.

Results include:

2008

Borthwick Trophy winning team, consisting of three Mandayen bred steers
Grand Champion steer on hoof

2009

Grand Champion on hoof with eleven month old Mandayen bred heifer
selling at auction for $7.05 cents/kg liveweight
Champion heavyweight Domestic steer carcase
Champion and Reserve live trade animal
10 Mandayen animals average $3.45 cents/kg liveweight at auction
Reserve Champion export steer, sired by Mandayen Cookie Monster

Exclusive rights on this sire are held in partnership with Birubi Limousins. MR JOCK is a polled, black sire who is breeding exceptionally well at Mandayen. An outcross sire that produces thick, easy doing cattle with great constitution and excellent dispositions. This sire epitomizes the easy fleshing, docile, modern type Limousin genetic package we are aiming to produce.

Mandayen has exclusive rights on this exciting homozygous polled, black sire. FINAL TIME has been used extensively in our 2008 spring joining program due to his unique lineage and outstanding phenotype, we expect him to transmit great thickness, capacity, structural soundness and calm dispositions into our breeding program.
