Field DayS / Pre Sale Inspection

The sale offering will be available for inspection at our on-property field day – Tuesday 9th February – Keith, at our new property 12 km north of Keith, off Dark Island Well Road (on the left)
Any other pre sale inspections are by appointment with the vendors or their agents..

Health

Mandayen Stud is MN2 status for Bovine Johnes.
The cattle have been vaccinated with 7 in 1, Vivrovax and Pestiguard.
They have also been treated with Dectomax.
All sale stock will be veterinary inspected prior to the sale.
All bulls are semen tested.
Mandayen is the first European breed stud in SA participating in the Pfizer STAR program.

Supplementary Information

Supplementary sheets will be available at the sale with any updated information on any particular lots. All cows are sold PTIC with mating details given with each lot. The 2009 drop heifers are sold unmated. Independent structural assessment has been undertaken on all lots to ensure they are of high standard in this regard.
Poll bulls and females are being DNA tested to verify whether homozygous polled or not. These results will be available at the sale.
All bulls have been semen tested by Nationwide AB.

Any semen that has been retained for in herd use only by Mandayen has already been collected. There is no further call on any of the sale bulls.

Stud Transfers

All animals are registered with the Australian Limousin Society and they are eligible for transfer within the Limousin Society. We ask all purchasers of animals who require transfer to please indicate this on your ‘Buyers’ Instruction Sheet’.
The Limflex bulls are also transferable (explanation on page 23 of sale catalogue)

Buyers Registration and Sale Conditions

Buyers will be required to register with the selling agents prior to the commencement of the sale, and are requested to display their registration number at the fall of the hammer on each sale lot.
All sale lots are sold exclusive of GST.
A rebate of 4% is available to outside agents introducing buyers in writing to the selling agent prior to the sale and settling within 7 days of the completion of the sale.

Insurance

Purchases become the responsibility of the buyer at the fall of the hammer. While all care will be taken by the vendor and their agents, we recommend buyers immediately insure their purchases. The selling agents will have insurance representatives at the sale.

Transport

Transport concessions are offered to all South Australian, Victorian, New South Wales and Tasmanian purchasers.
This includes free delivery to central points on all bulls as far north as Albury. Free delivery to central points will be given to all purchasers of 3 or more female lots. Freight assistance to other buyers will be considered if needed.
Contact the vendors or their agents for details &/or any clarification of these transport concessions.

Buyers Instructions

All purchasers or their representative must complete the buyers’ instruction card provided by the selling agents, or the sheet included in this catalogue. No verbal instructions will be accepted.

Guarantee

In the event of a bull proving to be infertile, or incapable of natural service within 12 months of the purchase date, the vendor will credit the purchase price less the salvage value of the bull, provided the problem is not caused by injury or disease incurred since taking delivery. Any claims must be accompanied by a relevant veterinary certificate. The vendor reserves the right to obtain an independent veterinary assessment to confirm any claim.
The same conditions apply if any female fails to become pregnant within the first 12 months, provided the mating bull is proven sound and fertile and the cow has not been put into an ET program since purchase.
